Video Out From the psychedelic light shows of the 1960's to the heady, early days of experimental video art and New York's nascent Soho Scene to today's techno underground, 'Video Out' explores the world of live video. Produced and Directed by Paul Vlachos and Meredith Finkelstein, "Video Out" has won "Best Documentary Feature" Award in the Winnipeg International Film Festival and the New York International Independent Film Festival. In addition, it won a Grand Festival Award at the Berkeley Video and Film Festival, and was an official selection at the Mill Valley Film Festival, Alameda Film Festival, Dallas Video Festival, Westcliffe Digital Film Festival, Black Earth Film Festival, Queens International Film Festival, 2006 FIFA International Festival of Film on Art, The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival and the 12th Annual IMMI Fest. | Meredith Finkelstein meredith@13bit.com Meredith Finkelstein is a filmmaker, roboticist, programmer and harmonica player based in downtown New York City. She spent her formative years writing software and making underground interactive projects based on WIFI and surveillance cameras before moving full time into making films and robots. She is working on various robotic projects and is a founding member of The Botmatrix robot activist group. |

| Paul Vlachos paulv@13bit.com Paul Vlachos is a filmmaker, writer and photographer based in downtown New York City. Paul's early years were spent in an audio and video feedback loop. He has been a writer and photorapher for 25 years and a performing musician for just as long - with punk and reggae groups - as well as earning a living as a writer and video producer. He is currently working on his second feature-length documentary, after winning numerous awards for his first - "Video Out," and is working on other solo photographic and multimedia projects. |
